Earlier this week I headed to Waterstones Aberdeen for an ‘In Conversation’ event, hosted by bookseller Emily. It was a fantastic evening with a lively audience, plenty of thoughtful questions and a conversation that covered everything from the themes behind Turn Back Time to the wider ideas around ageing, beauty culture and generational divides.

The discussion took us in some unexpected directions too, from beauty standards and the idea of ‘ageing gracefully’ to favourite beauty products and even the meaning of ‘6-7’. It was a brilliant reminder of how many different conversations a book can spark, and how much readers bring to those discussions.

A huge thank you to Emily, the team at Waterstones Aberdeen and everyone who came along on a damp Tuesday evening. It was lovely to spend time with such an engaged and welcoming audience.

If you missed the event, signed copies of Turn Back Time are available to order from Waterstones online and in store.
